“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be remembered, nor come into mind.
What will I give to Yahweh for all his benefits toward me?
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can’t find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.
Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from among another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Yahweh your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
Rejoice, you nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants. He will take vengeance on his adversaries, and will make atonement for his land and for his people.
who does great things that can’t be fathomed, marvelous things without number;
How great are your works, Yahweh! Your thoughts are very deep.
This knowledge is beyond me. It’s lofty. I can’t attain it.
I will praise you, Lord my God, with my whole heart. I will glorify your name forever more.
Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
for whom the Lord loves, he disciplines, and chastises every son whom he receives.”
They cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, Master, the holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here. I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who sits on many waters,
It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that you shall tell him, ‘By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.
They went up by the South, and came to Hebron; and Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were there. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
You shall eat no leavened bread with it. You shall eat unleavened bread with it seven days, even the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste) that you may remember the day when you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.
Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority to confirm this second letter of Purim.
“Can you fathom the mystery of God? Or can you probe the limits of the Almighty?
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like a great deep. Yahweh, you preserve man and animal.
I have proclaimed glad news of righteousness in the great assembly. Behold, I will not seal my lips, Yahweh, you know.
Praise Yah! I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.
Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness. Your law is truth.
I will give you thanks with my whole heart. Before the gods, I will sing praises to you.
Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised! His greatness is unsearchable.
That which is, is far off and exceedingly deep. Who can find it out?
then I saw all the work of God, that man can’t find out the work that is done under the sun, because however much a man labors to seek it out, yet he won’t find it. Yes even though a wise man thinks he can comprehend it, he won’t be able to find it.
to the intent that now through the assembly the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places,
in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.
When he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been killed for the Word of God, and for the testimony of the Lamb which they had.
My soul, don’t come into their council. My glory, don’t be united to their assembly; for in their anger they killed men. In their self-will they hamstrung cattle.
They said to them, “May Yahweh look at you and judge, because you have made us a stench to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us!”
Yahweh said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land.”
They shall eat the meat in that night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread. They shall eat it with bitter herbs.
It is a night to be much observed to Yahweh for bringing them out from the land of Egypt. This is that night of Yahweh, to be much observed by all the children of Israel throughout their generations.
Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, “Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,
You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless Yahweh your God for the good land which he has given you.
Joshua said, “Why have you troubled us? Yahweh will trouble you today.” All Israel stoned him with stones, and they burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.
All Israel heard that Saul had struck the garrison of the Philistines, and also that Israel was considered an abomination to the Philistines. The people were gathered together after Saul to Gilgal.
When the children of Ammon saw that they had become odious to David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Beth Rehob, and the Syrians of Zobah, twenty thousand footmen, and the king of Maacah with one thousand men, and the men of Tob twelve thousand men.
when you were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners were in it.
Declare his glory among the nations, and his marvelous works among all the peoples.
Yahweh, the God of Israel, you are righteous; for we are left a remnant that has escaped, as it is today. Behold, we are before you in our guiltiness; for no one can stand before you because of this.”
We can’t reach the Almighty. He is exalted in power. In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress.
I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvelous works.
God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.
My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Yahweh. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.
Remember his marvelous works that he has done: his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,
when they were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners in it.
They are established forever and ever. They are done in truth and uprightness.
When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign language,
Yahweh is Gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.
and brought out Israel from among them; for his loving kindness endures forever;
I remember the days of old. I meditate on all your doings. I contemplate the work of your hands.
In that day you will say, “I will give thanks to you, Yahweh; for though you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you comfort me.
The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish. The counsel of the wisest counselors of Pharaoh has become stupid. How do you say to Pharaoh, “I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?”
This also comes out from Yahweh of Armies, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is none like me.
I will tell of the loving kindnesses of Yahweh and the praises of Yahweh, according to all that Yahweh has given to us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has given to them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
You are righteous, Yahweh, when I contend with you; yet I would like to reason the cause with you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are they all at ease who deal very treacherously?
Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the residue of the elders of the captivity, and to the priests, to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon,
I will make Pathros desolate, and will set a fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments on No.
in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of God’s Kingdom, for which you also suffer.
They sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God, the Almighty! Righteous and true are your ways, you King of the nations.
“ ‘Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away yeast out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this same day I have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.
There shall be no yeast found in your houses for seven days, for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a foreigner, or one who is born in the land.
It shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that Yahweh’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand Yahweh has brought you out of Egypt.
“I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
then beware lest you forget Yahweh, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Only fear Yahweh, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
When the children of Ammon saw that they had made themselves odious to David, Hanun and the children of Ammon sent one thousand talents of silver to hire chariots and horsemen out of Mesopotamia, out of Aram-maacah, and out of Zobah.
how he set his signs in Egypt, his wonders in the field of Zoan,
For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.
But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.
Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits,
Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to Yahweh’s law.
Behold, I long for your precepts! Revive me in your righteousness.
I opened my mouth wide and panted, for I longed for your commandments.
Yahweh is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness.
Yahweh is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works.
“Lord, righteousness belongs to you, but to us confusion of face, as it is today; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, who are near, and who are far off, through all the countries where you have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you.
As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.
Moses said to the people, “Remember this day, in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.
He is Yahweh our God. His judgments are in all the earth.
The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.
I will remember Yah’s deeds; for I will remember your wonders of old.
He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Yahweh is gracious and merciful.
With my lips, I have declared all the ordinances of your mouth.
My soul is consumed with longing for your ordinances at all times.
Yahweh, I know that your judgments are righteous, that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
You are righteous, Yahweh. Your judgments are upright.
“Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old.
Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!
I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.”
for his judgments are true and righteous. For he has judged the great prostitute, who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.”
Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, “You have troubled me, to make me odious to the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites. I am few in number. They will gather themselves together against me and strike me, and I will be destroyed, I and my house.”
Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters to all the Jews who were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both near and far,
