Hebrew Text— Exodus 21:10If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, and her marital rights.

Let the husband give his wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife her husband.
If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, hates her,
They shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver, and give them to the father of the young lady, because he has given a bad name to a virgin of Israel. She shall be his wife. He may not put her away all his days.
I saw when, for this very cause, that backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce, yet treacherous Judah, her sister, had no fear; but she also went and played the prostitute.

If the latter husband hates her, and write her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband dies, who took her to be his wife;

Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery. He who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.
You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
If a man has two wives, the one beloved and the other hated, and they have borne him children, both the beloved and the hated, and if the firstborn son is hers who was hated,
