Hebrew Text— Ezekiel 40:44Outside of the inner gate were rooms for the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate. They faced toward the south. One at the side of the east gate faced toward the north.

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, or has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up.
But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him,
Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.
These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart;
I haven’t gone back from the commandment of his lips. I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple.
The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.
So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
for the truth’s sake, which remains in us, and it will be with us forever:
Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul. You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.
He built twenty cubits on the back part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling. He built them for it within, for an inner sanctuary, even for the most holy place.
There were windows in it and in its arches all around, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits.
Then he brought me out into the outer court, the way toward the north. Then he brought me into the room that was opposite the separate place, and which was opposite the building toward the north.
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
Therefore don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.
Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works,
Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises.
For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to not be idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Leave out the court which is outside of the temple, and don’t measure it, for it has been given to the nations. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months.
All Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king; for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do justice.
For in the days of David and Asaph of old there was a chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.
You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance.
For God is the King of all the earth. Sing praises with understanding.
It is a good thing to give thanks to Yahweh, to sing praises to your name, Most High,
Your statutes have been my songs in the house where I live.
The wisdom of the prudent is to think about his way, but the folly of fools is deceit.
You will have a song, as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to come to Yahweh’s mountain, to Israel’s Rock.
Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by your name, Yahweh, God of Armies.
He also made posts, sixty cubits; and the court reached to the posts, around the gate.
There were closed windows to the lodges, and to their posts within the gate all around, and likewise to the arches. Windows were around inward. Palm trees were on each post.
Then he measured the width from the forefront of the lower gate to the forefront of the inner court outside, one hundred cubits, both on the east and on the north.
He brought me into the inner court toward the east. He measured the gate according to these measurements;
And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth. He was subject to them, and his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
For the entrance of the inner sanctuary, he made doors of olive wood. The lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall.
for the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were in an office of trust, and were over the rooms and over the treasuries in God’s house.
Sing to him. Sing praises to him. Tell of all his marvelous works.
The number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to Yahweh, even all who were skillful, was two hundred eighty-eight.
He also made ten basins, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them. The things that belonged to the burnt offering were washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.
and the lamp stands with their lamps, to burn according to the ordinance before the inner sanctuary, of pure gold;
The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark in front of the inner sanctuary; but they were not seen outside; and it is there to this day.
Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare rooms in Yahweh’s house, and they prepared them.
I will praise you, Lord my God, with my whole heart. I will glorify your name forever more.
Oh come, let’s sing to Yahweh. Let’s shout aloud to the rock of our salvation!
Let’s come before his presence with thanksgiving. Let’s extol him with songs!
Praise Yahweh, my soul! All that is within me, praise his holy name!
Sing to Yahweh with thanksgiving. Sing praises on the harp to our God,
Let me sing for my well beloved a song of my beloved about his vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a very fruitful hill.
There was a gate to the inner court facing the other gate, on the north and on the east. He measured one hundred cubits from gate to gate.
There was a gate to the inner court toward the south. He measured one hundred cubits from gate to gate toward the south.
He brought me to the north gate, and he measured it according to these measurements;
its lodges, its posts, and its arches. There were windows in it all around. The length was fifty cubits and the width twenty-five cubits.
He measured the court, one hundred cubits long, and a hundred cubits wide, square. The altar was before the house.
He brought me to the temple, and measured the posts, six cubits wide on the one side, and six cubits wide on the other side, which was the width of the tent.
Then he brought me back by the way of the outer gate of the sanctuary, which looks toward the east; and it was shut.
The good man out of his good treasure brings out good things, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings out evil things.
When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
For your obedience has become known to all. I rejoice therefore over you. But I desire to have you wise in that which is good, but innocent in that which is evil.
We also speak these things, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.
My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
If you instruct the brothers of these things, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which you have followed.
whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;
For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.
“You shall make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen one hundred cubits long for one side.
Against the wall of the house, he built floors all around, against the walls of the house all around, both of the temple and of the inner sanctuary; and he made side rooms all around.
Every lodge was one reed long and one reed wide. Between the lodges was five cubits. The threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate toward the house was one reed.
The lodges of the gate eastward were three on this side, and three on that side. The three of them were of one measure. The posts had one measure on this side and on that side.
Then he brought me into the outer court. Behold, there were rooms and a pavement made for the court all around. Thirty rooms were on the pavement.
with its lodges, its posts, and its arches, according to these measurements. There were windows in it and in its arches all around. It was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide.
A room with its door was by the posts at the gates. They washed the burnt offering there.
speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.
