I am eighty years old, today. Can I discern between good and bad? Can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? Can I hear the voice of singing men and singing women any more? Why then should your servant be a burden to my lord the king?
He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes away, and doesn’t come again.
Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died. His eye was not dim, nor his strength gone.
Now king David was old and advanced in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he couldn’t keep warm.
But man dies, and is laid low. Yes, man gives up the spirit, and where is he?
Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw near, when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them;”
Whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.
You will eat bread by the sweat of your face until you return to the ground, for you were taken out of it. For you are dust, and you shall return to dust.”
All of the days of Seth were nine hundred twelve years, then he died.
All of the days of Enosh were nine hundred five years, then he died.
Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The years of my pilgrimage are one hundred thirty years. The days of the years of my life have been few and evil. They have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.”
They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone. Yes, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me like a shepherd’s tent. I have rolled up my life like a weaver. He will cut me off from the loom. From day even to night you will make an end of me.
“But God said to him, ‘You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared—whose will they be?’
Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth.
The sons of Noah who went out from the ship were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham is the father of Canaan.
Children were also born to Shem (the elder brother of Japheth), the father of all the children of Eber.
There was a man in Maon, whose possessions were in Carmel; and the man was very great. He had three thousand sheep and a thousand goats; and he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.
For we must die, and are like water spilled on the ground, which can’t be gathered up again; neither does God take away life, but devises means, that he who is banished not be an outcast from him.
One day Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a prominent woman; and she persuaded him to eat bread. So it was, that as often as he passed by, he turned in there to eat bread.
He will fly away as a dream, and will not be found. Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.
Don’t reject me in my old age. Don’t forsake me when my strength fails.
All the days that Adam lived were nine hundred thirty years, then he died.
All of the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty-two years, then he died.
All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, then he died.
Noah was five hundred years old, then Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Yahweh said to Noah, “Come with all of your household into the ship, for I have seen your righteousness before me in this generation.
In the same day Noah, and Shem, Ham, and Japheth—the sons of Noah—and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ship—
These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.
Now this is the history of the generations of the sons of Noah and of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.
These are the families of the sons of Noah, by their generations, according to their nations. The nations divided from these in the earth after the flood.
These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived: one hundred seventy-five years.
He said, “My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left. If harm happens to him along the way in which you go, then you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol.”
Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years. So the days of Jacob, the years of his life, were one hundred forty-seven years.
So Joseph died, being one hundred ten years old, and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.
Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.
No one will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will fulfill the number of your days.
If the person is from sixty years old and upward; if he is a male, then your valuation shall be fifteen shekels, and for a female ten shekels.
to love Yahweh your God, to obey his voice, and to cling to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days, that you may dwell in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
He said to them, “I am one hundred twenty years old today. I can no more go out and come in. Yahweh has said to me, ‘You shall not go over this Jordan.’
As yet I am as strong today as I was in the day that Moses sent me. As my strength was then, even so is my strength now for war, to go out and to come in.

Now Eli was ninety-eight years old. His eyes were set, so that he could not see.
Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah, the son of a Benjamite, a mighty man of valor.

The people sneaked into the city that day, as people who are ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.

But Jehoiada grew old and was full of days, and he died. He was one hundred thirty years old when he died.
His possessions also were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the children of the east.
For I know that you will bring me to death, To the house appointed for all living.
After this Job lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, to four generations.
What man is he who shall live and not see death, who shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol?
The days of our years are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty years; yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it passes quickly, and we fly away.
Gray hair is a crown of glory. It is attained by a life of righteousness.
Yes, though he live a thousand years twice told, and yet fails to enjoy good, don’t all go to one place?
For the living know that they will die, but the dead don’t know anything, neither do they have any more a reward; for their memory is forgotten.
Let your garments be always white, and don’t let your head lack oil.
yes, they shall be afraid of heights, and terrors will be on the way; and the almond tree shall blossom, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail; because man goes to his everlasting home, and the mourners go about the streets:
and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
They will not build and another inhabit. They will not plant and another eat: for the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, and my chosen will long enjoy the work of their hands.
Within two full years I will bring again into this place all the vessels of Yahweh’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon.
though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness,” says the Lord Yahweh.
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine. The soul who sins, he shall die.
Then the king made Daniel great, and gave him many great gifts, and made him rule over the whole province of Babylon, and to be chief governor over all the wise men of Babylon.
Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?
In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.
the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech,
As it was in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.
Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment,
By faith, Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared a ship for the saving of his house, through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
and didn’t spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly;
