When the priests who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant had come up out of the middle of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests’ feet had been lifted up to the dry ground, the waters of the Jordan returned to their place, and went over all its banks, as before.
When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder,
He sends it out under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.
As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together. The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
Consume them in wrath. Consume them, and they will be no more. Let them know that God rules in Jacob, to the ends of the earth.
He led them safely, so that they weren’t afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
Bless Yahweh, my soul. Yahweh, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.
Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless Yahweh, my soul. Praise Yah!
that they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise Yah!
Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting! Let all the people say, “Amen.” Praise Yah!
He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
Behold, the day of Yahweh comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy its sinners out of it.
For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. Yahweh overthrew the Egyptians in the middle of the sea.
and what he did to the army of Egypt, to their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued you, and how Yahweh has destroyed them to this day;
But Barak pursued the chariots and the army to Harosheth of the Gentiles; and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword. There was not a man left.
“So let all your enemies perish, Yahweh, but let those who love him be as the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had rest forty years.
Can you send out lightnings, that they may go? Do they report to you, ‘Here we are?’
The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
Yahweh’s voice strikes with flashes of lightning.
God is within her. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn.
My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him.
For, behold, those who are far from you shall perish. You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you.
Your way, God, is in the sanctuary. What god is great like God?
His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees, and trembles.
Morning by morning, I will destroy all the wicked of the land, to cut off all the workers of iniquity from Yahweh’s city.
Praise Yahweh, all you works of his, in all places of his dominion. Praise Yahweh, my soul!
Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh, my soul.
But the wicked will be cut off from the land. The treacherous will be rooted out of it.
But the destruction of transgressors and sinners shall be together, and those who forsake Yahweh shall be consumed.
Yahweh, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
By faith, they passed through the Red Sea as on dry land. When the Egyptians tried to do so, they were swallowed up.
God’s temple that is in heaven was opened, and the ark of the Lord’s covenant was seen in his temple. Lightnings, sounds, thunders, an earthquake, and great hail followed.
Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to Yahweh, and said, “I will sing to Yahweh, for he has triumphed gloriously. He has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea.
