Greek Text— John 6:61But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them, “Does this cause you to stumble?

For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.
Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me.
Yahweh’s eyes are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will render to everyone according to his deeds.
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.
For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.
“For his eyes are on the ways of a man. He sees all his goings.
Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.
You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar.
For the ways of man are before Yahweh’s eyes. He examines all his paths.
For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.
But, Yahweh of Armies, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, I will see your vengeance on them; for to you I have revealed my cause.
“I, Yahweh, search the mind. I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”
He reveals the deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.
Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
Now we know that you know all things, and don’t need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God.”
They prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two you have chosen
But Yahweh said to Samuel, “Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.”
You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.
then hear from heaven your dwelling place and forgive, and render to every man according to all his ways, whose heart you know (for you, even you only, know the hearts of the children of men)
won’t God search this out? For he knows the secrets of the heart.
Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness, for you reward every man according to his work.
They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.
You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.
Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh— how much more then the hearts of the children of men!
But Yahweh of Armies, who tests the righteous, who sees the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance on them, for I have revealed my cause to you.
Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” They were offended at him.
He said, “Most certainly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.
But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Rise up, and stand in the middle.” He arose and stood.
Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
For Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for me? Most certainly I tell you, the rooster won’t crow until you have denied me three times.
in the day when God will judge the secrets of men, according to my Good News, by Jesus Christ.
For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive the things in the body according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear,
but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries;
For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;
What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, Lord Yahweh.
I know also, my God, that you try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. Now I have seen with joy your people, who are present here, offer willingly to you.
For Yahweh’s eyes run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars.”
For he knows false men. He sees iniquity also, even though he doesn’t consider it.
I will bless Yahweh, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.
Examine me, Yahweh, and prove me. Try my heart and my mind.
If you say, “Behold, we didn’t know this,” doesn’t he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn’t he know it? Shall he not render to every man according to his work?
For my eyes are on all their ways. They are not hidden from my face. Their iniquity isn’t concealed from my eyes.
because they have done foolish things in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and have spoken words in my name falsely, which I didn’t command them. I am he who knows, and am witness,” says Yahweh.
Then many will stumble, and will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.
Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
They have no root in themselves, but are short-lived. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble.
The rooster crowed the second time. Peter remembered the word, how that Jesus said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” When he thought about that, he wept.
But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. A house divided against itself falls.
knowing this first, that in the last days mockers will come, walking after their own lusts
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes won’t be harmed by the second death.
I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Yahweh said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Will I really bear a child when I am old?’
Therefore you and all your company have gathered together against Yahweh! What is Aaron that you complain against him?”
There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house.”
But Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
They began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.”
But Jesus didn’t entrust himself to them, because he knew everyone,
But there are some of you who don’t believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who didn’t believe, and who it was who would betray him.
For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord.
We give no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our service may not be blamed,
They said to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.”
Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?
Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”
But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the first fish that comes up. When you have opened its mouth, you will find a stater coin. Take that, and give it to them for me and you.”
He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?” Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, “Do you have affection for me?” He said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.
There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.
These are murmurers and complainers, walking after their lusts—and their mouth speaks proud things—showing respect of persons to gain advantage.
I will kill her children with Death, and all the assemblies will know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.
and because he didn’t need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
