Hebrew Text— Leviticus 12:5But if she bears a female child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her period; and she shall continue in the blood of purification sixty-six days.

“ ‘If a woman has a discharge, and her discharge in her flesh is blood, she shall be in her impurity seven days. Whoever touches her shall be unclean until the evening.
But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Adam wasn’t deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;

“ ‘You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.
When the days of their purification according to the law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought him up to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord
for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.
Yahweh God said to the woman, “What have you done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
To the woman he said, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. You will bear children in pain. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
Pharaoh called Abram and said, “What is this that you have done to me? Why didn’t you tell me that she was your wife?
Laban said to Jacob, “What have you done, that you have deceived me, and carried away my daughters like captives of the sword?
“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘If a woman conceives, and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of her monthly period she shall be unclean.
She shall continue in the blood of purification thirty-three days. She shall not touch any holy thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying are completed.
“ ‘When the days of her purification are completed for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring to the priest at the door of the Tent of Meeting, a year old lamb for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove, for a sin offering.
for they harassed you with their wiles, wherein they have deceived you in the matter of Peor, and in the incident regarding Cozbi, the daughter of the prince of Midian, their sister, who was slain on the day of the plague in the matter of Peor.”
But the people took of the plunder, sheep and cattle, the chief of the devoted things, to sacrifice to Yahweh your God in Gilgal.”
who sets his heart to seek God, Yahweh, the God of his fathers, even if they aren’t clean according to the purification of the sanctuary.”
Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.
What is man, that he should be clean? What is he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
How then can man be just with God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be clean?
Behold, I was born in iniquity. My mother conceived me in sin.
They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. Viper’s poison is under their lips.
Then Haggai said, “If one who is unclean by reason of a dead body touch any of these, will it be unclean?” The priests answered, “It will be unclean.”
“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, “A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.”
Pilate answered, “I’m not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you to me. What have you done?”
