Hebrew Text— Leviticus 14:51He shall take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.

“Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh: “Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity. Cleanse me from my sin.
Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Sins overwhelmed me, but you atoned for our transgressions.
There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes, yet are not washed from their filthiness.
“ ‘ “Then washed I you with water. Yes, I thoroughly washed away your blood from you, and I anointed you with oil.
“Seventy weeks are decreed on your people and on your holy city, to finish disobedience, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.
Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand; but those who are wise will understand.
He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the leprosy left him.
Now a vessel full of vinegar was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.
However one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
Some of you were such, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.
yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without defect and blameless before him,

or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water,
to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel.
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood—
This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
