Greek Text— Mark 5:37He allowed no one to follow him, except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin that he sins. At the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall a matter be established.
But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”
He kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, “Lord, don’t hold this sin against them!” When he had said this, he fell asleep.
In those days, she became sick, and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.
There were many lights in the upper room where we were gathered together.
The father of Publius lay sick of fever and dysentery. Paul entered in to him, prayed, and laying his hands on him, healed him.
After six days, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.
But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
As he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.
He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
Matthew; Thomas; James, the son of Alphaeus; Simon, who was called the Zealot;
He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there.”
Behold, this is the third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you; for I seek not your possessions, but you. For the children ought not to save up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord,
Moses rose up with Joshua, his servant, and Moses went up onto God’s Mountain.
“ ‘Whoever kills any person, the murderer shall be slain based on the testimony of witnesses; but one witness shall not testify alone against any person so that he dies.
At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, he who is to die shall be put to death. At the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
He stretched himself on the child three times, and cried to Yahweh, and said, “Yahweh my God, please let this child’s soul come into him again.”
Your eyes will see the king in his beauty. They will see a distant land.
He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street.
Walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simon, who is called Peter; Andrew, his brother; James the son of Zebedee; John, his brother;
When they came near to Jerusalem, and came to Bethsphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and severely troubled.
Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter);
Without a parable he didn’t speak to them; but privately to his own disciples he explained everything.
After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.
He will himself show you a large upper room furnished and ready. Get ready for us there.”
He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.
About eight days after these sayings, he took with him Peter, John, and James, and went up onto the mountain to pray.
Being in agony he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.
Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.
Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, “Let’s go also, that we may die with him.”
When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”
Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Joses, who by the apostles was also called Barnabas (which is, being interpreted, Son of Encouragement), a Levite, a man of Cyprus by race,
Peter sent them all out, and knelt down and prayed. Turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
When those days were over, we departed and went on our journey. They all, with wives and children, brought us on our way until we were out of the city. Kneeling down on the beach, we prayed.
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are in the Dispersion: Greetings.
I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed himself down on the earth, and put his face between his knees.
“Cry aloud! Don’t spare! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins.
Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them.
Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat, to a deserted place apart. When the multitudes heard it, they followed him on foot from the cities.
Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, kneeling and asking a certain thing of him.
Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.
James the son of Zebedee; and John, the brother of James, (whom he called Boanerges, which means, Sons of Thunder);
As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,
After these things he was revealed in another form to two of them, as they walked, on their way into the country.
and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”

When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.
“Now my soul is troubled. What shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this time?’ But I came to this time for this cause.
Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together.
When they had come in, they went up into the upper room where they were staying; that is Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
This is the third time I am coming to you. “At the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.”
For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.”
