Greek Text— Matthew 21:31Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said to him, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Most certainly I tell you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering into God’s Kingdom before you.

Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
Out of my distress, I called on Yah. Yah answered me with freedom.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.
and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing.
Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
‘Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.’
Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
What I tell you, I tell all: Watch.”
for he says, “At an acceptable time I listened to you. In a day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.
When you said, “Seek my face,” my heart said to you, “I will seek your face, Yahweh.”
yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.
For it isn’t the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified
But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
I set my face to the Lord God, to seek by prayer and petitions, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.
to those who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life;
But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that with it you may grow,
For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay.
One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.
But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to fall.
But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
“I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you.
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” says the Lord Yahweh; “and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?
But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.”
I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
who in the generations gone by allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.
Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
I have not spoken in secret, in a place of the land of darkness. I didn’t say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I, Yahweh, speak righteousness. I declare things that are right.
Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
But he said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it.”
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.
This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
Brothers, don’t be children in thoughts, yet in malice be babies, but in thoughts be mature.
But to you I say, to the rest who are in Thyatira, as many as don’t have this teaching, who don’t know what some call ‘the deep things of Satan,’ to you I say, I am not putting any other burden on you.
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.
For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies,” says the Lord Yahweh. “Therefore turn yourselves, and live!
But many will be last who are first; and first who are last.
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say?
When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they declared God to be just, having been baptized with John’s baptism.
neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”
The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of men, extortionists, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.
For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death.
“In a very little while, he who comes will come, and will not wait.
Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, ‘Return, you backsliding Israel,’ says Yahweh; ‘I will not look in anger on you; for I am merciful,’ says Yahweh. ‘I will not keep anger forever.
From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
Jesus answered him, “Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”
For I say through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.
Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then God’s Kingdom has come upon you.
The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
As Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.
As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!’
For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
and said, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.”
He answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind, and went.
But many who are first will be last; and the last first.”
Behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster jar of ointment.
But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed him. He welcomed them, spoke to them of God’s Kingdom, and he cured those who needed healing.
Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting.”
“He said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn’t lay down, and reaping that which I didn’t sow.
The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent,
Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;
For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
In the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works, in that she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.
Your own mouth condemns you, and not I. Yes, your own lips testify against you.
Tell them, ‘ “As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?” ’
For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished.
“When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward.
Jesus said to his disciples, “Most certainly I say to you, a rich man will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven with difficulty.
