Hebrew Text— Psalms 50:11I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine.

Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?

Take with you some of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it will be for food for you, and for them.”

But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree. Then he requested for himself that he might die, and said, “It is enough. Now, O Yahweh, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.”
Who provides for the raven his prey, when his young ones cry to God, and wander for lack of food?
Yes, the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, near your altars, Yahweh of Armies, my King, and my God.
The birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.
The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
who gives food to every creature; for his loving kindness endures forever.

They will be left together for the ravenous birds of the mountains, and for the animals of the earth. The ravenous birds will eat them in the summer, and all the animals of the earth will eat them in the winter.
All you animals of the field, come to devour, all you animals in the forest.
I’ll cast you out into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers. You’ll fall on the open field. You won’t be brought together or gathered. I have given you for food to the animals of the earth and to the birds of the sky.
