He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.
For we don’t have here an enduring city, but we seek that which is to come.
He made windows of fixed lattice work for the house.
So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished throughout all its parts, and according to all its specifications. So he spent seven years building it.
But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in God’s house. I trust in God’s loving kindness forever and ever.
There were closed windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch. This is how the side rooms of the house and the thresholds were arranged.
But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels,
The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.
As valleys they are spread out, as gardens by the riverside, as aloes which Yahweh has planted, as cedar trees beside the waters.
the king said to Nathan the prophet, “See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but God’s ark dwells within curtains.”
He built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar: from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the house with cypress boards.
In his days, the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.
though the wicked spring up as the grass, and all the evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.
Yahweh’s trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;
It will blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing. Lebanon’s glory will be given to it, the excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They will see Yahweh’s glory, the excellence of our God.
Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up; and instead of the brier the myrtle tree will come up. It will make a name for Yahweh, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”
For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.
There were closed windows to the lodges, and to their posts within the gate all around, and likewise to the arches. Windows were around inward. Palm trees were on each post.
There were windows in it and in its arches all around, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits.
Between the rooms was a width of twenty cubits around the house on every side.
I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.
Allammelech, Amad, Mishal. It reached to Carmel westward, and to Shihorlibnath.
Behold, you are beautiful, my love. Behold, you are beautiful. Your eyes are like doves behind your veil. Your hair is as a flock of goats, that descend from Mount Gilead.

Then he brought me out into the outer court, the way toward the north. Then he brought me into the room that was opposite the separate place, and which was opposite the building toward the north.
Herds will lie down in the middle of her, all the animals of the nations. Both the pelican and the porcupine will lodge in its capitals. Their calls will echo through the windows. Desolation will be in the thresholds, for he has laid bare the cedar beams.
“Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, while this house lies waste?
For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens.
For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
However God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
You shall make a roof in the ship, and you shall finish it to a cubit upward. You shall set the door of the ship in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.
“You shall make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen one hundred cubits long for one side.
He raised up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
You shall take on the first day the fruit of majestic trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before Yahweh your God seven days.
He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that grows out of the wall; he also spoke of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish.
In the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, he began to build Yahweh’s house.
The porch in front of the temple of the house had a length of twenty cubits, which was along the width of the house. Ten cubits was its width in front of the house.
So he built the house, and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.
He built altars for all the army of the sky in the two courts of Yahweh’s house.
For their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of Yahweh’s house, in the courts, and in the rooms, and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of God’s house;
He made the larger room with a ceiling of cypress wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and ornamented it with palm trees and chains.
Palal the son of Uzai made repairs opposite the turning of the wall, and the tower that stands out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh made repairs.
He grows up like a flower, and is cut down. He also flees like a shadow, and doesn’t continue.
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
He who loves disobedience loves strife. One who builds a high gate seeks destruction.
Prepare your work outside, and get your fields ready. Afterwards, build your house.
I said to myself, “Behold, I have obtained for myself great wisdom above all who were before me in Jerusalem. Yes, my heart has had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.”
We will make you earrings of gold, with studs of silver.
His head is like the purest gold. His hair is bushy, black as a raven.
His legs are like pillars of marble set on sockets of fine gold. His appearance is like Lebanon, excellent as the cedars.
Your head on you is like Carmel. The hair of your head like purple. The king is held captive in its tresses.
This, your stature, is like a palm tree, your breasts like its fruit.
If she is a wall, we will build on her a turret of silver. If she is a door, we will enclose her with boards of cedar.
The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.
All the people will know, including Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, who say in pride and in arrogance of heart,
What will they answer the messengers of the nation? That Yahweh has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people will take refuge.
who says, ‘I will build myself a wide house and spacious rooms,’ and cuts out windows for himself; with a cedar ceiling, and painted with red.
“Yahweh who does it, Yahweh who forms it to establish it—Yahweh is his name, says:
He burned Yahweh’s house, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, he burned with fire.
The building that was before the separate place at the side toward the west was seventy cubits wide; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, and its length ninety cubits.
He measured the length of the building before the separate place which was at its back, and its galleries on the one side and on the other side, one hundred cubits from the inner temple, and the porches of the court
the thresholds, and the closed windows, and the galleries around on their three stories, opposite the threshold, with wood ceilings all around, and from the ground up to the windows, (now the windows were covered),
to the space above the door, even to the inner house, and outside, and by all the wall all around inside and outside, by measure.
Opposite the twenty cubits which belonged to the inner court, and opposite the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery against gallery in the third floor.
Now the upper rooms were shorter; for the galleries took away from these, more than from the lower and the middle, in the building.
Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he brought me out by the way of the gate which faces toward the east, and measured it all around.
The king spoke and said, “Is not this great Babylon, which I have built for the royal dwelling place, by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?”
“Yahweh of Armies says: ‘If you will walk in my ways, and if you will follow my instructions, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by.
Whereas Edom says, “We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places;” Yahweh of Armies says, “They shall build, but I will throw down; and men will call them ‘The Wicked Land,’ even the people against whom Yahweh shows wrath forever.”
In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.
a servant of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man.
For he looked for the city which has the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can’t be shaken, let’s have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe,
