Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.
I have not spoken in secret, in a place of the land of darkness. I didn’t say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I, Yahweh, speak righteousness. I declare things that are right.
Seek Yahweh, and you will live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and it devour, and there be no one to quench it in Bethel.
Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.
how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation—which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard,
If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.
“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath,
Yahweh is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
It will happen that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:
Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches! Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street.
From the days of John the Baptizer until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
If you love me, keep my commandments.
Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice,
For what great nation is there that has a god so near to them as Yahweh our God is whenever we call on him?
My dove in the clefts of the rock, in the hiding places of the mountainside, let me see your face. let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely.
Now we know that you know all things, and don’t need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God.”
One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.
When you said, “Seek my face,” my heart said to you, “I will seek your face, Yahweh.”
I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail looking for my God.
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.
He is Yahweh, our God. His judgments are in all the earth.
Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me.
He has lifted up the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints, even of the children of Israel, a people near to him. Praise Yah!
I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, or by the hinds of the field, that you not stir up, nor awaken love, until it so desires.
I opened to my beloved; but my beloved left, and had gone away. My heart went out when he spoke. I looked for him, but I didn’t find him. I called him, but he didn’t answer.
My dove, my perfect one, is unique. She is her mother’s only daughter. She is the favorite one of her who bore her. The daughters saw her, and called her blessed. The queens and the concubines saw her, and they praised her.
She weeps bitterly in the night. Her tears are on her cheeks. Among all her lovers she has no one to comfort her. All her friends have dealt treacherously with her. They have become her enemies.
Yes, when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness. Break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek Yahweh, until he comes and rains righteousness on you.
yet I will rejoice in Yahweh. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
“I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you.
Won’t God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?
Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for me? Most certainly I tell you, the rooster won’t crow until you have denied me three times.
I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed.”
For the love of Christ constrains us; because we judge thus, that one died for all, therefore all died.
“So let all your enemies perish, Yahweh, but let those who love him be as the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had rest forty years.
What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, Lord Yahweh.
My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually ask me, “Where is your God?”
God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.
My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Yahweh. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Yahweh, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you.
There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
I am dark, but lovely, you daughters of Jerusalem, like Kedar’s tents, like Solomon’s curtains.
Tell me, you whom my soul loves, where you graze your flock, where you rest them at noon; for why should I be as one who is veiled beside the flocks of your companions?
Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples; for I am faint with love.
With my soul I have desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
I bring my righteousness near. It is not far off, and my salvation will not wait. I will grant salvation to Zion, my glory to Israel.
I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh! My soul will be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
He came to the disciples, and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What, couldn’t you watch with me for one hour?
The rooster crowed the second time. Peter remembered the word, how that Jesus said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” When he thought about that, he wept.
for God’s Kingdom is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
for we walk by faith, not by sight.
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.
By faith, he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.
Nevertheless there are good things found in you, in that you have put away the Asheroth out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God.”
Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you.
when I remember you on my bed, and think about you in the night watches.
We give thanks to you, God. We give thanks, for your Name is near. Men tell about your wondrous works.
for he is our God. We are the people of his pasture, and the sheep in his care. Today, oh that you would hear his voice!
At midnight I will rise to give thanks to you, because of your righteous ordinances.
I love those who love me. Those who seek me diligently will find me.
The desire of the sluggard kills him, for his hands refuse to labor.
Cry aloud and shout, you inhabitant of Zion; for the Holy One of Israel is great among you!”
I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.”
But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My lord is delaying his coming,’
“Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them.
Again he returned, and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy, and they didn’t know what to answer him.
In these days, he went out to the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God.
“So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.
As he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, “Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you.”
Examine your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves. Or don’t you know about your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
Stand in awe, and don’t sin. Search your own heart on your bed, and be still.
I am weary with my groaning. Every night I flood my bed. I drench my couch with my tears.
My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don’t answer; in the night season, and am not silent.
I was asleep, but my heart was awake. It is the voice of my beloved who knocks: “Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled; for my head is filled with dew, and my hair with the dampness of the night.”
I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, If you find my beloved, that you tell him that I am faint with love.
Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.
Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping.
“Strive to enter in by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter in and will not be able.
He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?” Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, “Do you have affection for me?” He said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.
whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,
