However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him.
In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.
even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world.
In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
He said, “Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked will I return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be Yahweh’s name.”
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.
All your children will be taught by Yahweh; and your children’s peace will be great.
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.
But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,
Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
For in him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily,
Hold the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is one.
Yahweh will give strength to his people. Yahweh will bless his people with peace.
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Behold, I send out the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
Being assembled together with them, he commanded them, “Don’t depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which you heard from me.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.”
They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.
Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this, which you now see and hear.
As they served the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Separate Barnabas and Saul for me, for the work to which I have called them.”
Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his house. Many of the Corinthians, when they heard, believed and were baptized.
He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
For your obedience has become known to all. I rejoice therefore over you. But I desire to have you wise in that which is good, but innocent in that which is evil.
But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate, but rather giving of thanks.
who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,
looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,
and you pay special attention to him who wears the fine clothing and say, “Sit here in a good place;” and you tell the poor man, “Stand there,” or “Sit by my footstool”
My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.
“I know your works, oppression, and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
I will bless Yahweh at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth.
I indeed baptize you in water for repentance, but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.
teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”
The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
For this cause therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father?’
Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
I pray for them. I don’t pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.
Now when the synagogue broke up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.
Judas and Silas, also being prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers with many words and strengthened them.
Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood.
“I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, instructed according to the strict tradition of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God, even as you all are today.
For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
Gaius, my host and host of the whole assembly, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, as does Quartus, the brother.
Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,
I advanced in the Jews’ religion beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
I thank my God whenever I remember you,
Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.
not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice,
To them it was revealed, that they served not to themselves, but to you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.
Through Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.
For there are three who testify:
The elder to Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth.
We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,
If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever:
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
“When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.
giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;
We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
I and the Father are one.”
who, when he had come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad. He exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they should remain near to the Lord.
But thanks be to God, that, whereas you were bondservants of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were delivered.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I thank God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius,
Great is my boldness of speech toward you. Great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort. I overflow with joy in all our affliction.
We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds,
that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
They, when they heard it, glorified God. They said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.
