For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more.”
“I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more.”
“Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh: “Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
They will no longer each teach his neighbor, and every man teach his brother, saying, ‘Know Yahweh;’ for they will all know me, from their least to their greatest,” says Yahweh: “for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.
Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Remember me according to your loving kindness, for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh.
“Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;
Behold, for peace I had great anguish, but you have in love for my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for you have cast all my sins behind your back.
“Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,
For your name’s sake, Yahweh, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all of my iniquities.
I myself am Yahweh. Besides me, there is no savior.
In those days, and in that time,” says Yahweh, “the iniquity of Israel will be sought for, and there will be none; also the sins of Judah, and they won’t be found; for I will pardon them whom I leave as a remnant.
But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.
But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them, in bringing them out of the land of Egypt.
which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,
‘For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.’ ”
Nevertheless I withdrew my hand, and worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.
Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
I don’t do this for your sake,” says the Lord Yahweh. “Let it be known to you: be ashamed and confounded for your ways, house of Israel.”
As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ.
who also sealed us, and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.
Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.
and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. There will be no end to his Kingdom.”
I will give one tribe to his son, that David my servant may have a lamp always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for myself to put my name there.
who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases,
For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.
“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, nor will its sovereignty be left to another people; but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it will stand forever.
Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
He must increase, but I must decrease.
Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love,
I see him, but not now. I see him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of Israel, and shall strike through the corners of Moab, and crush all the sons of Sheth.
As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, he spread abroad his wings, he took them, he bore them on his feathers.
He will build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
His memory will perish from the earth. He will have no name in the street.
Praise be to Yahweh, for he has shown me his marvelous loving kindness in a strong city.
He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.
For Yahweh will have compassion on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land. The foreigner will join himself with them, and they will unite with the house of Jacob.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.
“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he will reign as king and deal wisely, and will execute justice and righteousness in the land.
Yahweh says: “If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done,” says Yahweh.
The multitude answered him, “We have heard out of the law that the Christ remains forever. How do you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up?’ Who is this Son of Man?”
Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.
Now he who made us for this very thing is God, who also gave to us the down payment of the Spirit.
But as for the children of Israel who lived in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.
When all Israel heard that Jeroboam had returned, they sent and called him to the congregation, and made him king over all Israel. There was no one who followed David’s house, except for the tribe of Judah only.
For out of Jerusalem a remnant will go out, and out of Mount Zion those who shall escape. Yahweh’s zeal will perform this.
I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.” ’ ”
The womb will forget him. The worm will feed sweetly on him. He will be no more remembered. Unrighteousness will be broken as a tree.
Yahweh, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me.
You have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
As for God, his way is perfect. Yahweh’s word is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand.
Yahweh’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth.
Yahweh helps them and rescues them. He rescues them from the wicked and saves them, because they have taken refuge in him.
Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake.
For out of Jerusalem a remnant will go out, and survivors will escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.’
“I am Yahweh. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images.
He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head. He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
The kingdom and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole sky, will be given to the people of the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions will serve and obey him.’
I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; and I will tell those who were not my people, ‘You are my people;’ and they will say, ‘My God!’ ”
The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
then it shall happen that to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh.
Listen to the petitions of your servant, and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Yes, hear from your dwelling place, even from heaven; and when you hear, forgive.
Your throne, God, is forever and ever. A scepter of equity is the scepter of your kingdom.
As birds hovering, so Yahweh of Armies will protect Jerusalem. He will protect and deliver it. He will pass over and preserve it.”
Nevertheless for David’s sake, Yahweh his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem;
I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.
were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries should judge wrongly, lest they should say, ‘Our hand is exalted, Yahweh has not done all this.’ ”
Your house and your kingdom will be made sure forever before you. Your throne will be established forever.” ’ ”
However I will not tear away all the kingdom; but I will give one tribe to your son, for David my servant’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake which I have chosen.”
However Yahweh would not destroy Judah, for David his servant’s sake, as he promised him to give to him a lamp for his children always.
Show your marvelous loving kindness, you who save those who take refuge by your right hand from their enemies.
For your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.
Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on David’s throne, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.
I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.
For my name’s sake, I will defer my anger, and for my praise, I hold it back for you so that I don’t cut you off.
For my own sake, for my own sake, I will do it; for how would my name be profaned? I will not give my glory to another.
then may my covenant also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”
“Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “I don’t do this for your sake, house of Israel, but for my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went.
to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely gave us favor in the Beloved,
who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory.
The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.
