Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls. All your waves and your billows have swept over me.
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the sky’s windows opened.
Yet he commanded the skies above, and opened the doors of heaven.
It will happen that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the middle of the pit will be taken in the snare; for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.
Waters flowed over my head. I said, “I am cut off.”
God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so.
or darkness, so that you can not see, and floods of waters cover you.
By his knowledge, the depths were broken up, and the skies drop down the dew.
For the waves of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
and that captain answered the man of God, and said, “Now, behold, if Yahweh made windows in heaven, might such a thing be?” and he said, “Behold, you will see it with your eyes, but will not eat of it.”
who were snatched away before their time, whose foundation was poured out as a stream,
“For the Lord Yahweh says: ‘When I make you a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I bring up the deep on you, and the great waters cover you;
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for.
I, even I, will bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.
God remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the livestock that were with him in the ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided.
The waters continually receded from the earth. After the end of one hundred fifty days the waters receded.
The waters receded continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were visible.
In the six hundred first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from the earth. Noah removed the covering of the ship, and looked. He saw that the surface of the ground was dry.
I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
Yahweh brought him outside, and said, “Look now toward the sky, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” He said to Abram, “So your offspring will be.”
Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, “Behold, if Yahweh made windows in heaven, could this thing be?” He said, “Behold, you will see it with your eyes, but will not eat of it.”
He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.
Terrors overtake him like waters. A storm steals him away in the night.
He breaks open a shaft away from where people live. They are forgotten by the foot. They hang far from men, they swing back and forth.
Yes, can any understand the spreading of the clouds, and the thunderings of his pavilion?
Who can count the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the containers of the sky,
He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses.
You opened up spring and stream. You dried up mighty rivers.
Your wrath lies heavily on me. You have afflicted me with all your waves.
The floods have lifted up, Yahweh, the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods lift up their waves.
At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.
He waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.
Your laws remain to this day, for all things serve you.
He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.
Praise him, you heavens of heavens, you waters that are above the heavens.
lightning and hail, snow and clouds; stormy wind, fulfilling his word;
when he established the clouds above, when the springs of the deep became strong,
The earth is utterly broken. The earth is torn apart. The earth is shaken violently.
Don’t you fear me?’ says Yahweh ‘Won’t you tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it can’t pass it? Though its waves toss themselves, yet they can’t prevail. Though they roar, they still can’t pass over it.’
They don’t say in their heart, ‘Let’s now fear Yahweh our God, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season, who preserves to us the appointed weeks of the harvest.’
When he utters his voice, there is a roar of waters in the heavens, and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, and brings the wind out of his treasuries.
For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me.
For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and tell another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and tell my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship,
He sent two of his disciples, and said to them, “Go into the city, and there you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him,
He stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her. Immediately she rose up and served them.
For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ,
Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.
For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.
Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters and to be well-pleasing in all things, not contradicting,
In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.
