Greek Text— John 4:35Don’t you say, ‘There are yet four months until the harvest?’ Behold, I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, that they are white for harvest already.

Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.
Your threshing shall continue until the vintage, and the vintage shall continue until the sowing time. You shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
Therefore the showers have been withheld and there has been no latter rain; yet you have had a prostitute’s forehead and you refused to be ashamed.
It will happen in that day, that the mountains will drop down sweet wine, the hills will flow with milk, all the brooks of Judah will flow with waters, and a fountain will flow out from Yahweh’s house, and will water the valley of Shittim.
Lift up your eyes all around, and see: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live,” says Yahweh, “you shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament, and dress yourself with them, like a bride.
The threshing floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.
In seven days, I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights. I will destroy every living thing that I have made from the surface of the ground.”
Yahweh will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt; and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.” ’ ”
They didn’t see one another, and nobody rose from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
Does the rain have a father? Or who fathers the drops of dew?
I will lay it a wasteland. It won’t be pruned or hoed, but it will grow briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it.”
Oh that you would tear the heavens, that you would come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence.
“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the one treading grapes him who sows seed; and sweet wine will drip from the mountains, and flow from the hills.
On the next day they entered into Caesarea. Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his relatives and his near friends.
Now when I came to Troas for the Good News of Christ, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord,
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
I will set apart in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, to the end you may know that I am Yahweh on the earth.
and Yahweh’s anger be kindled against you, and he shut up the sky so that there is no rain, and the land doesn’t yield its fruit; and you perish quickly from off the good land which Yahweh gives you.
Your sky that is over your head will be bronze, and the earth that is under you will be iron.
Behold, when we come into the land, tie this line of scarlet thread in the window which you used to let us down. Gather to yourself into the house your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household.
The mountains quaked Yahweh’s presence, even Sinai at the presence of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
After many days, Yahweh’s word came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, “Go, show yourself to Ahab; and I will send rain on the earth.”
who gives rain on the earth, and sends waters on the fields;
When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder,
It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world,
They shall come and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, for he has done it.
The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He lifted his voice and the earth melted.
The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
“I, Yahweh, have called you in righteousness. I will hold your hand. I will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations,
I will tell the north, ‘Give them up!’ and tell the south, ‘Don’t hold them back! Bring my sons from far away, and my daughters from the ends of the earth—
The children of your bereavement will say in your ears, ‘This place is too small for me. Give me a place to live in.’
“For a small moment I have forsaken you, but I will gather you with great mercies.
Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up; and instead of the brier the myrtle tree will come up. It will make a name for Yahweh, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”
“Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather themselves together. They come to you. Your sons will come from far away, and your daughters will be carried in arms.
“Who are these who fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
Surely the islands will wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.
They don’t say in their heart, ‘Let’s now fear Yahweh our God, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season, who preserves to us the appointed weeks of the harvest.’
Because of the ground which is cracked, because no rain has been in the land, the plowmen are disappointed. They cover their heads.
Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? Or can the sky give showers? Aren’t you he, Yahweh our God? Therefore we will wait for you; for you have made all these things.
Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed, when you receive your sisters, your elder sisters and your younger; and I will give them to you for daughters, but not by your covenant.
They will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden. The waste, desolate, and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited.’
“Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in Yahweh, your God; for he gives you the early rain in just measure, and he causes the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain, as before.
But Judah will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
“I also have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city. One place was rained on, and the piece where it didn’t rain withered.
For the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, is he who touches the land and it melts, and all who dwell in it will mourn; and it will rise up wholly like the River, and will sink again, like the River of Egypt.
Ask of Yahweh rain in the spring time, Yahweh who makes storm clouds, and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field.
It will be, that whoever of all the families of the earth doesn’t go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, on them there will be no rain.
I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven,
The disciples said to him, “Where should we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a multitude?”
So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.”
He will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
Simon, whom he also named Peter; Andrew, his brother; James; John; Philip; Bartholomew;
On the next day, he was determined to go out into Galilee, and he found Philip. Jesus said to him, “Follow me.”
They went out of the city, and were coming to him.
Jesus therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude was coming to him, said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, that these may eat?”
and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.
When Pilate therefore heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called “The Pavement”, but in Hebrew, “Gabbatha.”
As he talked with him, he went in and found many gathered together.
Therefore I sent to you at once, and it was good of you to come. Now therefore we are all here present in the sight of God to hear all things that have been commanded you by God.”
So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.
The next Sabbath, almost the whole city was gathered together to hear the word of God.
When they had arrived, and had gathered the assembly together, they reported all the things that God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith to the nations.
“Be it known therefore to you, that the salvation of God is sent to the nations, and they will listen.”
The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;
for a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months.
These have the power to shut up the sky, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.
Yahweh said to Abram, after Lot was separated from him, “Now, lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward,
For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn’t receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
praying together for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds,
