Hebrew Text— Leviticus 24:10The son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp.

Yahweh of Armies says: “In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, ‘We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’ ”
A mixed multitude went up also with them, with flocks, herds, and even very much livestock.
If you said, “What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase;”
The mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly; and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, “Who will give us meat to eat?
The children of Israel said to him, “We will go up by the highway; and if we drink your water, I and my livestock, then I will give its price. Only let me, without doing anything else, pass through on my feet.”
Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock. They saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead. Behold, the place was a place for livestock.
They traveled from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kibroth Hattaavah.
When Yahweh your God enlarges your border, as he has promised you, and you say, “I want to eat meat,” because your soul desires to eat meat, you may eat meat, after all the desire of your soul.
It came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated all the mixed multitude from Israel.
He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn’t allow their livestock to decrease.
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.
Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.
The fruits which your soul lusted after have been lost to you. All things that were dainty and sumptuous have perished from you, and you will find them no more at all.
There was not a word of all that Moses commanded which Joshua didn’t read before all the assembly of Israel, with the women, the little ones, and the foreigners who were among them.
