Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
and saying, “Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented.”
“Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is epileptic, and suffers grievously; for he often falls into the fire, and often into the water.
This was the first enrollment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria.
for John was not yet thrown into prison.
But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree. Then he requested for himself that he might die, and said, “It is enough. Now, O Yahweh, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.”
Yahweh’s hand was on me, and he brought me out in Yahweh’s Spirit, and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones.
Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.
Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”
Now when John heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples
Behold, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, you son of David! My daughter is severely possessed by a demon!”
He came in the Spirit into the temple. When the parents brought in the child, Jesus, that they might do concerning him according to the custom of the law,
He came into all the region around the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for remission of sins.
added this also to them all, that he shut up John in prison.
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,
But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.
even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.
It will happen, as soon as I leave you, that Yahweh’s Spirit will carry you I don’t know where; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he can’t find you, he will kill me. But I, your servant, have feared Yahweh from my youth.
The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are bound,
So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away; and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; and Yahweh’s hand was strong on me.
Jesus, when he was baptized, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. He saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming on him.
As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.
Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
Then one possessed by a demon, blind and mute, was brought to him and he healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
and said to his servants, “This is John the Baptizer. He is risen from the dead. That is why these powers work in him.”
For Herod had arrested John, and bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife.
At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick, and those who were possessed by demons.
But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places. People came to him from everywhere.
For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.
and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick, on their mats, to where they heard he was.
Soon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve,
John testified, saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him.
So when the Samaritans came to him, they begged him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.
until the day in which he was received up, after he had given commandment through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.
When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the eunuch didn’t see him any more, for he went on his way rejoicing.
They wrote these things by their hand: “The apostles, the elders, and the brothers, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: greetings.
When we had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left hand, we sailed to Syria and landed at Tyre, for the ship was there to unload her cargo.
So Yahweh was with Joshua; and his fame was in all the land.
For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the nations all around.
The Ammonites gave tribute to Uzziah. His name spread abroad even to the entrance of Egypt; for he grew exceedingly strong.
Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
The report about him went out into all Syria. They brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.
The report of this went out into all that land.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man has come.
John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom,
The report of him went out immediately everywhere into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.
Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them.
King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Baptizer has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. He was teaching them on the Sabbath day,
News about him went out into every place of the surrounding region.
This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea, and in all the surrounding region.
The law and the prophets were until John. From that time the Good News of God’s Kingdom is preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee even to this place.”
He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him, and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is by interpretation, Peter).
After the two days he went out from there and went into Galilee.
Jesus came therefore again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.
beginning from the baptism of John, to the day that he was received up from us, of these one must become a witness with us of his resurrection.”
They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.
“Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him among you, even as you yourselves know,
you yourselves know what happened, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
before his coming, when John had first preached the baptism of repentance to Israel.
For the king knows of these things, to whom also I speak freely. For I am persuaded that none of these things is hidden from him, for this has not been done in a corner.
But we desire to hear from you what you think. For, as concerning this sect, it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against.”
preaching God’s Kingdom, and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, without hindrance.
I find then the law that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present.
God didn’t reject his people, which he foreknew. Or don’t you know what the Scripture says about Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel:
Now I say that Christ has been made a servant of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers,
how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation—which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard,
