Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’
On the next day, Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the middle of the camp in the morning watch, and struck the Ammonites until the heat of the day. Those who remained were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.
The king commanded, and they cut out large stones, costly stones, to lay the foundation of the house with worked stone.
The foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all.

Above the voices of many waters, the mighty breakers of the sea, Yahweh on high is mighty.
He lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.
His hands are like rings of gold set with beryl. His body is like ivory work overlaid with sapphires.
What will they answer the messengers of the nation? That Yahweh has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people will take refuge.
Therefore the Lord Yahweh says, “Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone of a sure foundation. He who believes shall not act hastily.
But Zion said, “Yahweh has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me.”
Therefore now hear this, you afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
For Yahweh has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off,” says your God.
“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no one passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,” says Yahweh; “because they have called you an outcast, saying, ‘It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.’ ”
Her filthiness was in her skirts. She didn’t remember her latter end. Therefore she has come down astoundingly. She has no comforter. “See, Yahweh, my affliction; for the enemy has magnified himself.”
“They have heard that I sigh. There is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble. They are glad that you have done it. You will bring the day that you have proclaimed, and they will be like me.

A day to build your walls— In that day, he will extend your boundary.

Then the contention grew so sharp that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus,
When we had departed from them and had set sail, we came with a straight course to Cos, and the next day to Rhodes, and from there to Patara.
When we had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left hand, we sailed to Syria and landed at Tyre, for the ship was there to unload her cargo.
Some of the disciples from Caesarea also went with us, bringing one Mnason of Cyprus, an early disciple, with whom we would stay.
Putting to sea from there, we sailed under the lee of Cyprus, because the winds were contrary.
When we had sailed slowly many days, and had come with difficulty opposite Cnidus, the wind not allowing us further, we sailed under the lee of Crete, opposite Salmone.
But before long, a stormy wind beat down from shore, which is called Euroclydon.
