But Yahweh sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty storm on the sea, so that the ship was likely to break up.
A big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled.
The floods have lifted up, Yahweh, the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods lift up their waves.
lightning and hail, snow and clouds; stormy wind, fulfilling his word;
But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.
Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, the silver for the things of silver, the bronze for the things of bronze, iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood; also onyx stones, stones to be set, stones for inlaid work, of various colors, all kinds of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
He spoke, and swarms of flies came, and lice in all their borders.
His hands are like rings of gold set with beryl. His body is like ivory work overlaid with sapphires.
Your rowers have brought you into great waters. The east wind has broken you in the heart of the seas.
When he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry afterward.
for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry.
Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
Yahweh appeared to him the same night, and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you, and will bless you, and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham’s sake.”
He looked, and behold, a well in the field, and saw three flocks of sheep lying there by it. For out of that well they watered the flocks. The stone on the well’s mouth was large.
From the time that he made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, Yahweh blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake. Yahweh’s blessing was on all that he had, in the house and in the field.
Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and lived in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well.
In the course of those many days, the king of Egypt died, and the children of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.
Yahweh’s angel appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
Yahweh said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
“This is so that they may believe that Yahweh, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”
They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was like a paved work of sapphire stone, like the skies for clearness.
The foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.
He went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak. He said to him, “Are you the man of God who came from Judah?” He said, “I am.”
The woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God, and that Yahweh’s word in your mouth is truth.”
But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree. Then he requested for himself that he might die, and said, “It is enough. Now, O Yahweh, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.”
When I lie down, I say, ‘When will I arise, and the night be gone?’ I toss and turn until the dawning of the day.
Sapphires come from its rocks. It has dust of gold.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all.
Wake up! Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise! Don’t reject us forever.
From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves.
He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings with the rain. He brings the wind out of his treasuries.
He sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
What will they answer the messengers of the nation? That Yahweh has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people will take refuge.
Therefore the Lord Yahweh says, “Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone of a sure foundation. He who believes shall not act hastily.
But Zion said, “Yahweh has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me.”
Therefore now hear this, you afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
For Yahweh has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off,” says your God.
“You afflicted, tossed with storms, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.
Behold, they may gather together, but not by me. Whoever gathers together against you will fall because of you.
“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no one passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
Yahweh says, “As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, ‘Don’t destroy it, for a blessing is in it:’ so I will do for my servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all.
For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,” says Yahweh; “because they have called you an outcast, saying, ‘It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.’ ”
“He has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom. By his understanding he has stretched out the heavens.
Her filthiness was in her skirts. She didn’t remember her latter end. Therefore she has come down astoundingly. She has no comforter. “See, Yahweh, my affliction; for the enemy has magnified himself.”
“They have heard that I sigh. There is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble. They are glad that you have done it. You will bring the day that you have proclaimed, and they will be like me.
Above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone. On the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man on it above.
Then I looked, and see, in the expanse that was over the head of the cherubim there appeared above them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
“ ‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “I will even tear it with a stormy wind in my wrath. There will be an overflowing shower in my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.
therefore the Lord Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I am against you, Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes its waves to come up.
A day to build your walls— In that day, he will extend your boundary.
Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.
He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion, and they woke him up, and told him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are dying?”
Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea, and he would have passed by them,
She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Now on one of those days, he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.
Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
This beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
Are you greater than our father, Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his children and his livestock?”
The sea was tossed by a great wind blowing.
But when Jesus heard it, he said, “This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God’s Son may be glorified by it.”
Jesus answered, “Aren’t there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless, let’s go to him.”
Jesus answered, “This voice hasn’t come for my sake, but for your sakes.
I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.
strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into God’s Kingdom.
Putting to sea from there, we sailed under the lee of Cyprus, because the winds were contrary.
But before long, a stormy wind beat down from shore, which is called Euroclydon.
When the ship was caught and couldn’t face the wind, we gave way to it and were driven along.
For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.
that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
Therefore he was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.
For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
Behold, the ships also, though they are so big and are driven by fierce winds, are yet guided by a very small rudder, wherever the pilot desires.
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.
The wind goes toward the south, and turns around to the north. It turns around continually as it goes, and the wind returns again to its courses.
But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.
The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
