Acts 28:14
Greek Text— Acts 28:14where we found brothers, and were entreated to stay with them for seven days. So we came to Rome.

It rained on the earth forty days and forty nights.
The flood was forty days on the earth. The waters increased, and lifted up the ship, and it was lifted up above the earth.
My eyes will be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he will serve me.
When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This was during the days of unleavened bread.
When they had come to him, he said to them, “You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time,
Yahweh said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground—man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky—for I am sorry that I have made them.”
God said to Noah, “I will bring an end to all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them and the earth.
I, even I, will bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.
All flesh died that moved on the earth, including birds, livestock, animals, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.
You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it you came out of Egypt), and no one shall appear before me empty.
One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
Therefore Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth. This year you will die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh.’ ”
and from there to Philippi, which is a city of Macedonia, the foremost of the district, a Roman colony. We were staying some days in this city.
He came to Ephesus, and he left them there; but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.
except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.
He waited yet another seven days, and sent out the dove; and she didn’t return to him any more.
“You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out of Egypt.
who were snatched away before their time, whose foundation was poured out as a stream,
He establishes the force of the wind. Yes, he measures out the waters by measure.
(the foreigner has not camped in the street, but I have opened my doors to the traveler);
I have not sat with deceitful men, neither will I go in with hypocrites.
Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.
Let those who fear you turn to me. They will know your statutes.
Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God.
For my brothers’ and companions’ sakes, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
“I also have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city. One place was rained on, and the piece where it didn’t rain withered.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.
Being let go, they came to their own company and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.
When she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.” So she persuaded us.
After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth.
Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” and, “I follow Christ.”
Now concerning Apollos, the brother, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brothers; and it was not at all his desire to come now; but he will come when he has an opportunity.
Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
In seven days, I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights. I will destroy every living thing that I have made from the surface of the ground.”
After the seven days, the floodwaters came on the earth.
He waited yet another seven days; and again he sent the dove out of the ship.
Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head, and restore you to your office. You will give Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, the way you did when you were his cup bearer.
for Yahweh your God among you is a jealous God, lest the anger of Yahweh your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.
The secret things belong to Yahweh our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
“Why aren’t times laid up by the Almighty? Why don’t those who know him see his days?
To man he said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom. To depart from evil is understanding.’ ”
Why do you strive against him, because he doesn’t give account of any of his matters?
As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.
I am a friend of all those who fear you, of those who observe your precepts.
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name. The righteous will surround me, for you will be good to me.
All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and no one can stop his hand, or ask him, “What are you doing?”
Behold, the eyes of the Lord Yahweh are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the surface of the earth; except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” says Yahweh.
Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy; and stay there until you go on.
He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.
He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see God’s Kingdom come with power.”
When they came to Jesus, they begged him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy for you to do this for him,
Into whatever house you enter, stay there, and depart from there.
When they saw it, they all murmured, saying, “He has gone in to lodge with a man who is a sinner.”
For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth.
This saying therefore went out among the brothers, that this disciple wouldn’t die. Yet Jesus didn’t say to him that he wouldn’t die, but, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?”
In these days, Peter stood up in the middle of the disciples (and the number of names was about one hundred twenty), and said,
For I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name’s sake.”
While Peter was pondering the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men seek you.
When he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they were gathered together with the assembly, and taught many people. The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
Now in these days, prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
Passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas.
When he had determined to pass over into Achaia, the brothers encouraged him, and wrote to the disciples to receive him. When he had come, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace;
While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, having passed through the upper country, came to Ephesus and found certain disciples.
Now after these things had ended, Paul determined in the Spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”
We sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread, and came to them at Troas in five days, where we stayed seven days.
For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
Having found disciples, we stayed there seven days. These said to Paul through the Spirit that he should not go up to Jerusalem.
On the next day, we who were Paul’s companions departed, and came to Caesarea. We entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him.
in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of God’s Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Good News of Christ;
I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase.
If I fought with animals at Ephesus for human purposes, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, then “let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”
I have been in travels often, perils of rivers, perils of robbers, perils from my countrymen, perils from the Gentiles, perils in the city, perils in the wilderness, perils in the sea, perils among false brothers;
Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ; To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and servants:
but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we grew bold in our God to tell you the Good News of God in much conflict.
but when he was in Rome, he sought me diligently and found me
(the Lord grant to him to find the Lord’s mercy in that day); and in how many things he served at Ephesus, you know very well.
Bring the cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus when you come, and the books, especially the parchments.
that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn’t love his brother remains in death.
I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, like a trumpet
Nevertheless you have a few names in Sardis that didn’t defile their garments. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy.
